Terms and Conditions of Participation

1 Registration

Registration for courses at acontatto in Malcesine (Lake Garda) can be completed in the following ways:

• In writing, using the registration form. By signing the form, the registration becomes binding, and the participant agrees to the Terms and Conditions of Participation.
• Online. This registration is also binding without a signature.
• By email to info@acontatto.com. This registration is also binding without a signature.

2 Registration Confirmation

Registrations are processed by acontatto in the order they are received. Participants who register early will typically receive written confirmation; otherwise, confirmation will be provided by phone.

3 Course Confirmation

A course confirmation will be sent to participants once the minimum number of attendees for the booked course has been reached (no later than one week before the course begins).

4 Payment Terms

The course fee can be paid:

• In cash on the first day of the course; or
• By bank transfer to the account details provided after receiving the course confirmation.

For EU transfers, when providing the IBAN number as indicated, transfers are typically free of charge.

5 Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of a booked course by the participant must be made in writing, either by post or by email to info@acontatto.com.

Participants may cancel their course booking free of charge up to 6 weeks before the course begins.

For later cancellations, the following fees will apply:

• Up to 1 week before course start: 50% of course fee
• During the week before course start: 75% of course fee
• 2 days or less before course start: 100% of course fee

If no cancellation is received at least two days before the course begins, the full course fee will be charged regardless of actual attendance. Participants may nominate a substitute attendee. (For postal cancellations, the date of receipt at acontatto will be decisive.)

6 Changes/Cancellation by acontatto

The listing of a course in acontatto's program brochure constitutes an offer, not a confirmed course placement.

A course is only considered confirmed once course confirmations have been sent to participants.

Even confirmed courses are subject to the availability of instructors and technical/space requirements. acontatto reserves the right to modify the course schedule and/or location (within the municipality of Malcesine) or, if necessary, to cancel the course—even at short notice—in case of unforeseen unavailability. If acontatto cancels a course, any payments already made will be refunded.

Participants are not entitled to any further claims (e.g., reimbursement of travel or accommodation cancellation fees), unless the cancellation is due to intentional or grossly negligent conduct by acontatto, its employees, or agents.

7 Instructor Changes

A change of instructor (including during an ongoing course) does not entitle participants to withdraw from the course or claim a fee reduction.

8 Contact Person

The sole contact for course organization matters is acontatto's management. Instructors are not authorized to make agreements on behalf of acontatto. Any such commitments shall be null and void.

9 Liability

acontatto shall not be liable for any damages unless caused by intentional acts or gross negligence of its employees or other agents.

10 Data Protection

The participant agrees that acontatto may process personal data for internal seminar and examination purposes, as well as for sending future information about the language school electronically. Participants who do not consent to this processing may indicate their preference on the registration form.

11 Final Provisions

1. Severability Clause: If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is or becomes invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. In such cases, the relevant legal provisions shall apply instead.
2. No Oral Agreements: No ancillary agreements exist unless they are confirmed in writing on the registration confirmation.
3. Formal Requirements: Any modifications or additions must be made in writing to be valid.
